A Brief History of CBC

Inaugurated in 2004 at Roehampton University as an interdisciplinary postgraduate-run conference, The Child and the Book has since taken place in different countries, mainly in Europe. It gathers scholars and students focusing on children’s and young adult literature and culture, who exchange experiences, insights, and knowledge in this field. It has annually attracted delegates from all round the world and offers a unique opportunity for postgraduate students to present and discuss their work, in company with established scholars.
